Many of the functionalities of MBS2BIM include importing tapered frames, connecting plates and angles, holes, bolts, welds and marks. The MBS2BIM link is a specification which provides a converter between the output of the MBS (Metal Building Software, a program that does the complete design, detailing, costing and drafting of steel framed metal buildings.) and Advance Steel product, and converts the MBS files into GTC files. The company has participated in the discussions and checking of the enhanced features in Advance Steel 2014, the MBS2BIM specification, and now has decided to continue with Advance Steel 2015, for better linking, accurate models and fabrication of steel components.
